Scott Stuckey with Fair Chance Works
Launch Blue is excited to be sharing the success story of one of our UAccel Quick Start + I-Corps program and Pre-Seed Accelerator graduates, Scott Stuckey with Fair Chance Works!
Fair Chance Works (FCW) has emerged as a trailblazer and forefront in creating employment opportunities. Shortly after their launching, revenue was first secured by providing interview prep and soft skills training to inmates in Northeastern Kentucky. This was funded through a grant supported by a regional development corporation in the state of Kentucky.
Alongside this, FCW also became an approved vendor for Kentucky’s Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR). This allows Stuckey and his team to expand their services beyond justice involving individuals or those impacted by substance use disorder(s). Rather, Fair Chance Works can now also provide to those that are affected by a variety of disabilities, working to provide equitable opportunities to those across the state.
Because FCW is also a Community Rehabilitation Program provider, they are able to offer services including but not limited to: Employment & Retention, Vocational Evaluations and Traditional Supported Employment. Within the past six months, FCW has been able to support individuals across five Eastern Kentucky counties, leading their first quarter revenue to surpass previous efforts. With such successful efforts this past year, Stuckey and his team and hopeful for what 2025 will bring.
Fair Chance Works strives to make an impact beyond establishing jobs, their team seeks to create lasting relationships with business to achieve broader goals. The group is also working to create a hiring platform that is dedicated to supporting a second-chance labor market. Launch Blue is proud to work with organizations that aim to foster fair and meaningful employment opportunities that create an impactful change.
